When you request information from me, sign up to any of my services (hypnobirthing, doula services, sleep consultancy) or buy things from me, I obtain information about you. This statement explains how I look after that information and what I do with it.
I have a legal duty to prevent your information falling into the wrong hands. I must also ensure that the data we hold is accurate, adequate, relevant and not excessive.
Normally the only information I hold comes directly from you. Whenever I collect information from you, I will make it clear which information is required in order to provide you with the information, service or goods you need. You do not have to provide us with any additional information unless you choose to. We store your information securely on a private, non-shared computer and I restrict access to those who have a need to know, though I have never actually shared a client’s information with anyone.
I never sell data. I do not pass on data to other organisations unless required by law or with your specific permission. I normally keep basic information relating to orders for up to 1 year.
If you have signed up to an NCT class facilitated by me, or another service for which I am a specialist worker, that organisation will pass your details to me and I have the same duty in respect of this information.
I would also like to contact you in future to tell you about other services I provide. You have the right to ask me not to contact you in this way. I will always aim to provide a clear method for you to opt out. You can also contact me directly at any time to tell me not to send you any further information or marketing material.
I might in future occasionally carry out a joint mailing with carefully selected other organisations, in order to tell you about products and services we think you might be interested in. Again, you have the right to opt out of this.
You have the right to a copy of all the information I hold about you (apart from a very few things which I may be obliged to withhold because they concern other people as well as you). .
